Your Guide to a Seamless Stay: Motel Policies and Guidelines

By familiarizing yourself with our policies, you can enjoy a seamless and memorable experience at our establishment. From check-in and check-out procedures to amenities usage and noise regulations, we aim to maintain a serene and accommodating environment for everyone.

Personal Responsibility

We kindly remind guests that personal responsibility for attending to individual needs is paramount. While we strive to ensure a comfortable and accommodating stay, it is important for guests to be mindful of their own requirements during their time with us.

Floor Preference

Rooms are located on either the ground floor or the second floor. Should you have a specific preference, kindly communicate it to us. While we cannot assure the fulfillment of floor preferences, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your requested floor whenever possible. Please be advised that errors or mishaps may arise, particularly given the high volume of reservations and telephone inquiries we handle daily. We kindly request your understanding and consideration of this possibility when specifying a preferred floor location.

Cancellations

Guests can cancel or change their reservation anytime up until 7 days before their stay for a fee of 15% of their deposit.

Guests who cancel or change their reservation within 3-6 days of their upcoming stay will lose 50% of their stay & within 2 days will lose 100%.

We are unable to make exceptions for weather conditions, shortened stays, or unexpected family emergencies, as these situations, unfortunately, tend to arise frequently during rainy weekends.

Reservation Deposit

Guests must pay a deposit of 50% of the cost of their stay upon booking in order to reserve their spot. The remaining 50% of the cost of the stay plus any new charges will be charged at check-in.

Check-In

Guests can check in at the front desk from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on arrival day. If you need to arrange a later check-in, please call us at least 24 hours ahead of time to confirm.

Guests’ remaining balance for their stay will be charged at check-in or by 9:00 pm of their arrival day.

No Show

Guests who don’t check-in by day’s end on their arrival date & haven’t called to arrange a late check-in will be charged for the full cost of their stay.

Room Rates

Room rates are subject to change throughout the season. The room rate confirmed at the time of booking will be honored for the duration of the reservation, regardless of any subsequent changes to our standard rates. While we make every effort to maintain consistency in our pricing throughout the season, various factors such as demand fluctuations, seasonal variations, and local events may necessitate adjustments to our rates. Price Matching

We do not offer price matching for reservations made through online travel agencies (OTAs) or other booking platforms. While we understand the importance of finding the best deal, it’s essential to clarify that our rates are set based on various factors, including operational costs and service quality. Our decision not to price match is influenced by the fees imposed by online travel agencies, which typically range from 15% to 30% of the final booking price. No Pets

For the comfort and safety of all our guests, Ocean Acres Ogunquit maintains a strict no-pet policy. We kindly ask that guests do not bring pets onto the property. This policy ensures a clean, allergen-free environment for everyone.

Service animals are exempt from this policy. Under Maine’s Department of Human Services, Chapter 206 Rules Relating to Lodging Establishments, Chapter 1, Article 1-B, item 28 – a service animal is defined as, “an animal such as a guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability.”

Parking

In a town that has very limited parking, we have plenty of spaces available. We want our guests to be able to save $25 – $50 per day by being able to stay at our motel and walk to the beach.
